Blood Pressure UK – Do you #KnowYourNumbers?

Know Your Numbers week has arrived, and we’re supporting Blood Pressure UK’s campaign to raise awareness of getting your blood pressure under control.

It is recommended that everybody over the age of 40 gets their blood pressure checked regularly to find out whether your blood pressure numbers are managed, and lower your risk of stroke and heart disease.

You can #KnowYourNumbers and get your blood pressure measured with Everyone Health with a free NHS Health Check.

This simple check, delivered locally within your community, takes only 20-30 minutes, during which you will be asked some straightforward questions about your lifestyle, where our health professionals will carry out some basic tests. These will include checking your blood pressure, height, weight, BMI (a measure of whether you are a healthy weight), cholesterol and HbA1C levels (diabetes).

The NHS Health Check is designed to spot early signs of stroke, heart disease, kidney disease and type 2 diabetes and reduce your risk of these health conditions.

If your blood pressure (or any other levels) come back high, our health professionals will support you to take the steps to reduce it and make some simple changes to lead a healthier life.

To book your free NHS Health Check, please call 0333 005 0095 or text ‘HEART’ to 60777.

I honestly thought this was just going to be weight loss and advice I didn’t realise it would make me look at the way I see and feel about myself and get to the root cause of my actions. My health trainer has made me look at myself through different eyes which has had a very positive impact on my life.
