Feel Good Festival 2021

Thank you to everyone that attended the Feel Good Festival on Friday. It was great to see you all taking action to Feel Good and Eat Well by cycling to make your very own blended smoothie with the fruit donated by Tesco. Essex Fire and Police services joined the Essex Vax Van in supporting the local community Feel Good and Be Safe.

Local organisations supported people to Feel Good and Be Active through; Archery, Yoga, Cycling, Relay Races and much more. Well done to all our wonderful performers; Capoeira, Hands 4 Voices Choir, Essex Cheerleading, Julie Noble Dance School and Artist Marcus Samuel, helping support us to Feel Good and Be Social.

We will be announcing next years festival date soon so keep an eye out on this page….

Feel Good, Eat Well Zone

This zone is dedicated to all matters regarding eating well. Maintaining a healthy weight isn’t just good for your physical health, it plays a vital part in your mental well-being too. A poor diet has been shown to be associated with medical conditions such as Coronary heart disease, Type 2 diabetes, coronary heart disease and certain cancers etc. in this zone will have providers showing live demos on how to eat well, sharing recipe ideas and you can even have a go at making your own smoothie ‘on a bike’. The aim is to show you that eating well can be fun and enjoyable too.

Feel good, Be Social Zone

Many people have either been self-isolating or shielding during lockdown. Though it was necessary, there were many negative effects.  Socialising not only staves off feelings of loneliness, but also it helps sharpen memory and cognitive skills, increases your sense of happiness and well-being, and may even help you live longer. In this zone you get to see local talent being show cased, bring a blanket and some food for the picnic area.

Feel Good, Stay Safe Zone

This zone is dedicated to all matters staying safe be it mental or physical. We have all heard the phrase ‘stay safe’ throughout the pandemic however, there are other ways we must stay safe. We have local organisations that will be around on the day to discuss safety. Look out for the many stalls be it; sexual health, domestic violence or the local police service.
